About Us

Our History

We believe that important life skills including goal setting, commitment, dedication, hard work, responsibility, sportsmanship, and personal perseverance can be taught through the art and sport of boxing. We also believe the youth in St. Paul and surrounding communities need this now more than ever.  For that reason, the Rice Street Old School Boxing Gym was founded as a MN 501(3)(c) non-profit organization by Linda Wojcik and Mike Evgen, former World IBO Jr. Welterweight Professional Boxer known as “The Rice Street Rocker.”

The organization is working hard to come together with community connections, financial resources, the City of St. Paul and volunteers to provide a safe recreational boxing workout facility for area youth.
